Involved in stock option basics is not only the stock of the companies bought and sold on the sundry exchanges but also the other core participants. You know, those that like to manipulate the rules. The regulators setting the regulations, those that set government policy and law making and of course the promoters. Through that all into the bowl and mix it up then you have an industry which some say can even manipulate the economy, no matter if the effect is temporary or not.But in stock options basics there are only 2 core activities. They are buying and selling.Nothing more.No fewer.Stock options basics focus is on one core principle. That this action of trading or the buying and selling of stock and stock options is in fact a business. The business is the purchasing and ultimate sale of options, or option contracts, to:1) generate monthly income and cash flow.2) For the building of a long term living asset. That said there are just 2 final rules governing this process.1) Prices of stock and stock options constantly move2) The option contracts do have an expiration date.Next we consider those which have influence within or on the indexes and or trading houses.Standard and Poor’s has written a publication titled S&P U. S. Indices Index Methodology . In this publication they state that Standard & Poor’s U. S. indices are maintained by the U. S. Index Committee. They also state that there are eight members of the Committee; all are full-time professional members of Standard & Poor’s staff, and the Committee meets monthly.Plus included in the process is determining which companies warrant a position on the S&P. And to no one’s surprise all of these discussions remain confidential. At the beginning of this chapter, we wrote that the Tailwind Trading System will utilize stock market research that is both confidential and public. Now you have a sense of where the “confidential” part comes in. You will learn more about the confidential and public nature of this research in the next several chapters.Further the S&P Index Committee points out that they review corporate activities of index companies as it relates to mergers, acquisitions and spin offs. Resulting the changes to the index as a result of the replacement of corporate stocks to the index.Tailwind Trading System was designed to profit from the resulting activities of stocks that are added to the S&P’s 3 main U. S. indexes: The S&P 500, The MidCap 400 and the SmallCap 600. The system takes advantage of the S&P research so you can ride the Tailwind to profit! So, what happens to the stocks after they have been added to these indexes? Well, some may go up and some may go down. It is difficult to tell, unless you use the Tailwind Trading System and our proprietary formula. Essentially, the Tailwind Trading System could be considered a mechanical stock trading system. Follow the system guidelines and use our proprietary formula and you will have the opportunity to make profits riding the Tailwind.Chapter 10 outlines the past track records and statistics that have been possible with the system. An impressive track record many say is found little place else.As you learn the system and theory behind it you will also discover how to find and identify the Tailwind stocks and how to profit with them. Including the Tailwind Sweet Spot formula. You now have been exposed not only to what is possible through the understanding of stock option basics in both theory and practice. The one main key element which you must understand and master is that of learning and developing the feel and internal understanding of running a profitable business. Just as with cooking you can read all the books and recipes but if you do not develop the feel or as they say the ability to add the love into the cooking or baking success can elude you. Recipes do not a chef make.

Stock Investing For Canadians For Dummies $24.99 Stock Investing For Canadians For Dummies, 3rd Edition includes information on stock investing in both bear and bull markets; unique investment segments; stock investing for different types of situations; and examples straight from the real world of stock investing as they have occurred in the past three years. With up-to-date references and resources, this book is the most reliable resource for the new stock market investor. New in this edition: Investigating how governments affect markets: The authors present an unbiased look at how government intervention can and has shaped the markets, so that investors know what to watch for and can respond appropriately to protect their investments — or even benefit. Explaining economics: As governments around the world intervene in the markets, media coverage of the economic theory behind these moves (and the economic theories that deplore them) has expanded greatly — and most of it’s muddled. New content in the book explains what investors need to know about economics. Exploring stock trading: For readers that want to move stocks quickly rather than invest for the long run, the authors offer a crash course in the fundamentals of trading, and some critical do’s and don’ts. This edition also offers a brand-new part of tens, focusing on how investors can protect their money and spot warning signs that a good stock is about to go bad. |
